Had the pleasure of working on one of the ornamental marble floors for Zorah and use it as an opportunity to practise more Houdini.
Base marble textures were created by Stan Brown and base gold texture by Derk Elshof. I was responsible for model, uv, lookdev and base dirt texture.
Marble/Gold damages, decimation, vertex color masks, UVs, pebbles scattering were done fully procedurally and batched processed in Houdini. Marble floor parent material was made in UE with procedural dirt masks, per piece uv randomization, color/normal jitter to reduce repetition as there are quite a bit of marble floors in the level.
